Iran Overpowers Saudi Arabia in IWBF Asia-Oceania Championship
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iran pummeled Saudi Arabia 123-32 in the International Wheelchair Basketball Federation (IWBF) Asia-Oceania Championship on Wednesday.
Iran’s Vahid Gholamzad and Morteza Ebrahimi scored 25 points apiece in the match held at Chiba, Japan.
Fahad Bindiran led Saudi Arabia with 11 points.
Iran has defeated Malaysia, the Philippines, Chinese Taipei and Saudi Arabia so far and lost to Australia.
The Championship is being held at the Chiba Port Arena, Japan, from October 7 to 18.
There are twelves men’s teams competing for three spots and three women’s teams competing for one spot to Rio 2016.
