Commander Highlights Iran's Full Control over Borders

“Today, thanks God, Iran’s brave children in Armed Forces are so powerful that would not allow the Islamic Republic’s enemies to even have a brief malicious look at our land and sea borders,” Brigadier General Esmaili said in a speech in the northern city of Rezvanshahr on Friday.

He further warned against enemies’ plots to infiltrate into the country through other means, saying that for the enemies, the best and least expensive way to infiltrate a country is the “cultural infiltration” because their frontline would not be in their own country but in other countries.

Another tool used by the enemies to gain foothold in Iran is the “political transformation”, the commander warned, adding that with their infiltration strategy, the enemies are seeking to create rift between a nation and its government.

Brigadier General Esmaili at the same time expressed confidence that the enemies would never achieve their goals given the Iranian nation’s vigilance.

In relevant remarks earlier this month, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei reiterated the call for vigilance against hostile plots hatched by enemies to make inroads into the country.

Addressing a gathering of Friday prayers leaders in Tehran on January 4, Ayatollah Khamenei cautioned against the “traps” the enemies have laid or are laying to establish a foothold in Iran and influence the nation’s will and decisions.

The adversaries resort to a range of ploys, including deliberate provocation in the country, political propaganda, spending money, and moral traps, to infiltrate into Iran, the Leader explained.

“The extensive front of enemies of the Islamic Revolution and the Iranian nation is making constant attempts by hatching diverse plots, because it has sensed serious danger from the spread of the ideas and thoughts of pure Islam in different regions,” Imam Khamenei added at the time.
