AFC Futsal Championship: Iran Defeats Jordan
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran opened AFC Futsal Championship 2016 with a victory over Jordan on Wednesday.
In the match held at the Universal Stadium, Tashkent, the Iranian team defeated Jordan 6-0.
Mohammad Nazemosharia’s men will play China and Iraq on Friday and Sunday respectively.
The 2016 AFC Futsal Championship is the 14th edition of the AFC Futsal Championship and is underway in Uzbekistan from February 10 to 21.
A total of 16 teams are participating in the tournament.
The tournament acts as the AFC qualifiers for the World Cup. The top five teams of the tournament will qualify for the 2016 FIFA Futsal World Cup in Colombia as the AFC representatives.
