Iranian Greco-Roman Wrestlers Head to Mongolia

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s two-member Greco-Roman team traveled to Mongolia on Monday to take part at the 2016 World Wrestling Olympic Qualification Tournament 1.

Six-time world champion Hamid Sourian will compete at the tournament to book a berth in the 59kg weight category.

Amir Ghasemi Monjazi also makes effort to earn a place in 130kg weight class.

The 2016 World Wrestling Olympic Qualification Tournament 1 is the first of two worldwide qualification tournaments for the 2016 Olympics. The top three competitors in each weight class will qualify.

It will be held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia from April 22 to 24 April.
