Iranian President Congratulates World Leaders on Christmas

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian President Hassan Rouhani offered his congratulations to the heads of State across the globe on the birth anniversary of Christ Jesus (PBUH) and beginning of the New Christian Year.

In separate messages to world leaders on Saturday evening, President Rouhani expressed the hope that with the arrival of the New Year and in light of the teachings of the prophets, which are the main factors of dialogue and understanding among civilizations and nations, the world would witness stability and security and the end of sufferings of the countless people plagued by oppression, corruption and terrorism.

The Iranian president also prayed God to bestow "health and happiness " on nations across the world and their governments.

Christmas or Christmas Day is an annual commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ, celebrated generally on December 25 as a religious and cultural holiday by millions of people around the world.
