Iran’s Daneshvar Claims Gold at Asian Track Championship

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Mohammad Daneshvar Kohram won a gold medal in the Men’s 1 Km Time Trial category, in the 37th Asian Track Cycling Championship 2017.

Daneshvar Kohram claimed the gold with a time of 1:03.129s. Shih Hsin Hsiao from Chinese Taipei seized the silver medal clocking 1:03.651s and bronze medal went to Korean Junggyu NA with 1:03.669s.

Iran had previously won one gold and two silver medals.

Kasra Bagherpour had claimed a gold medal in the Scratch Race 10km - Men Junior and Mohammad Rajablou snatched a silver medal in the Scratch Race 10km - Men Elite.

Iran’s Elite Team Sprint also won a silver medal in the competition.

The Asian Cycling Championships (ACC) is an annual continental cycling championships for road bicycle racing and track cycling since 1963, exclusively for Asian cyclists selected by the national governing body (member nations of the Asian Cycling Confederation).

The competition has brought a total of 600 cyclists from 20 Asian countries in Delhi, India together.
