All Iranian Players Performed Well against Brazil, Iran U-19 Volleyball Coach Says
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran U-19 volleyball coach Mohammad Vakili says that his players performed well in the match against Brazil.
Iran raced to a 3-0 win against Brazil (25-21, 25-20, 25-15) in the 2017 FIVB Volleyball Boys’ U-19 World Championship on Friday at Isa City Sports Hall.
“We are very happy to have this match against Brazil. We have prepared well with our mentality coming into this game. We like playing against strong teams because we can have the chance to improve our level,” Vakili told fivb.org.
“During the rest day, we trained hard, both in fitness and ball training. I think this has really paid off with our performance. Brazil is a very strong team with a lot of talent for the future. We needed to use our tactics in this match, and all the players performed well with this game plan in mind,” he added.
Iran will play South Korea in the competition’s semi-final on Saturday.
