IWBF Asia Oceania Championships: Iran Beats Thailand
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iran defeated Thailand 89-62 in the IWBF (International Wheelchair Basketball Federation) Asia Oceania Championships on Wednesday.
Iran, who has previously defeated Saudi Arabia 85-31 and New Zealand 91-15 in the competition underway in Beijing, will face China on Thursday.
In the men’s competition, the 14 teams are divided into four pools and play a round-robin.
The top two in each pool will progress through to the quarter-final.
The four semi-finalist will secure a ticket to the 2018 World Championships, scheduled to take place in Hamburg next year from August 17 to 26.
