Iran Stretches Unbeaten Run to Nine Matches: AFC

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Iranian national football team (also known as Team Melli) stretched its unbeaten run to nine matches, the-afc.com wrote.

Team Melli defeated Panama 2-1 in a friendly Thursday night in Graz, Austria.

Ashkan Dejagah found the back of the net from the penalty spot in the 16th minute and Saman Ghoddos doubled Iran’s lead three minutes later.

Gabriel Torres pulled a goal back from the spot in the 39th minute.

Carlos Queiroz’s team stretched its unbeaten run to nine matches.

Iran's last defeat was a 1-0 reversal against Iraq in a friendly in March.

Iran national football team will continue its buildup to the FIFA World Cup 2018 with another friendly against Venezuela at the The Goffertstadion in Nijmegen, Netherlands on Monday.
