Iran Falls to Czech Republic in President’s Cup
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran was defeated against the Czech Republic 28-17 in the 2024 President’s Cup on Thursday.
Iran had earlier suffered three successive losses against the Netherlands 34-11, Romania 33-15 and Brazil 30-22 in Group A of the 2024 IHF Women’s Junior World Championship.
The Persians then lost to Tunisia 26-23 in Group I of President’s Cup and defeated Chile 27-25 in their next match.
Iran is scheduled to play the loser of Uzbekistan and Chinese Taipei for the 27th place.
The competition kicked off in North Macedonia on June 19 and will run until June 30.
