Iran’s Prosecutor General Due in Russia to Attend SCO Meeting
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Prosecutor General Mohammad Jafar Montazeri is slated to pay an official visit to Russia to attend a meeting of prosecutors general of the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (the SCO).
Heading a high-ranking delegation, Montazeri will leave Tehran for Russia’s St. Petersburg to participate in the 15th Session of Prosecutors General of the SCO Member States, due to be held from November 28 to 30.
On the sidelines of the trip, the Iranian prosecutor general will also hold talks with senior Russian officials to explore avenues for the development of relations between Tehran and Moscow.
The 15th meeting of prosecutor generals of the SCO is planned to be attended by delegations from Iran, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Afghanistan, Belarus, India, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
