Sanat Naft, Esteghlal Kuzestan March into Iran’s Hazfi Cup Semis
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Sanat Naft and Esteghlal Khuzestan football teams marched into semi-final of the Iran’s Hazfi Cup on Tuesday.
Sanat Naft defeated Persepolis in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium 5-4 in penalty shootouts.
The match went into the penalty after both teams were tied 1-1 at the end of 120 minutes.
In Ahvaz, Esteghlal Khuzestan defeated Tractor Sazi 4-3 after the match ended in a goalless draw at the end of 120 minutes.
Khooneh Be Khooneh, headed by Iran former captain Javad Nekounam, had previously booked a place in the competition’s semis after beating Gostaresh Foolad 2-0 on Monday.
Esteghlal and Iranjavan Bushehr match was postponed on Monday because of air pollution and new date for the fixture has been announced.
