FIBA U-18 Asian Championship: Iran Downs Indonesia
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran rolled to an 80-50 victory over Indonesia in its opening match in Pool A of the 2018 FIBA Under-18 Asian Championship.
On Sunday, Iran’s Ali Kashani was the match’s top scorer with 16 points, and Aldy Izzatur Rachman scored 12 points for Indonesia in Nonthaburi, Thailand.
A total of 16 teams have been grouped in four groups of four teams.
Iran is scheduled to play Kazakhstan and Japan on Monday and Tuesday.
The 2018 FIBA Under 18 Asian Championship got underway in Nonthaburi on August 5 and will run until August 11.
The top four teams will qualify for the 2019 FIBA Under 19 Basketball World Cup.
