Iran Football Out of Asian Games
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran football team was knocked out of the 2018 Asian Games after being defeated by South Korea.
Zlatko Kranjcar’s boys lost to the Korean team 2-0 in Bekasi, Indonesia.
Hwang Ui Jo and Lee Seungwoo scored two goals for South Korea.
Iran started the campaign with a goalless draw against Saudi Arabia in the preliminary round and defeated North Korea 3-0. The Iranian team lost to Myanmar 2-0.
South Korea will face Uzbekistan on Aug. 27 in the quarter-final round.
Syria, Uzbekistan and Vietnam have also qualified for the quarter-finals.
