Friendly: Iran Football Team Beats Uzbekistan
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran national football team edged past Uzbekistan in an away match on Tuesday.
In a friendly match held at the Bunyodkor Stadium in Tashkent, capital of Uzbekistan, Carlos Queiroz’s men beat the host 1-0 thank to a goal from Mehdi Torabi.
Torabi found the back of the net from a good pass from Saeid Ezatollahi three minutes after he came off the bench.
Team Melli is preparing for the AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019, where it has been pitted against Iraq, Vietnam and Yemen.
It was Iran’s first match after the 2018 World Cup.
