IPL: Persepolis Held by Saipa
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Persepolis football team was held to a 1-1 draw by Saipa in Iran Professional League (IPL) on Saturday.
In the match, held in Tehran’s Takhti Stadium, Kamal Kamyabinia gave the visiting team the lead in the 15th minute.
With three minutes remaining, Mohammad Reza Soleymani equalized the match with a header.
Persepolis sits third with 17 points, six points behind IPL leader Padideh with one game in hand.
Persepolis is preparing for the first leg of the AFC Champions League final with Kashima Antlers on November 3 at the Kashima Soccer Stadium.
