FIBA U-18 Women's Asian Championship: Iran Beats Singapore
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iran defeated Singapore 70-53 in Division B of the FIBA U-18 Women's Asian Championship 2018 on Monday.
Fatemeh Ghazvini led Iran with 28 points while Xingyue Han scored six points for Singapore.
Iran will play Guam on Tuesday in its third match.
The 2018 FIBA Asia Under-18 Championship for Women is the qualifying tournament for FIBA Asia at the 2019 FIBA Under-19 Women's Basketball World Cup.
The tournament is also the 24th edition of the biennial competition. The tournament is being held in Bangalore, India from October 28 to November 3.
The top four teams will represent FIBA Asia in the 2019 FIBA Under-19 Women's Basketball World Cup in Thailand.
