Video Shows Indian Military Striking Militants in Pakistan

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - India released a footage that it said is the video of airstrikes against militants in Pakistani territory in a major escalation of tensions between the two countries.

Indian fighter jets have struck multiple targets in Pakistan, destroying a training camp of the Jaish e Mohammed (JeM) group in Balakot that India says had carried out a suicide attack earlier this month and killing 40 Indian troops in Pulwama on February 14, According to India Times.

While there has been no official word on it, sources said that 12 Mirage 2000 fighter jets of the air force crossed the border and dropped precision strike bombs on terror camps, causing considerable damage. Estimates for the damage are not currently available.

Tuesday's airstrikes are the first launched across the line of control - the de facto border that divides India-administered Kashmir from Pakistan-administered Kashmir - since a war between the two countries in 1971.
