IPL: Foolad, Sepahan Share the Spoils
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian football clubs Foolad and Sepahan shared the spoils during Friday’s clash in Iran Professional League (IPL) in Ahvaz’s newly-built stadium Shohaday-e Foolad.
Sepahan striker Kiros Stanley gave the visiting team the lead from the penalty spot in the 69th minute.
Hassan Beyt Saeed equalized the match with nine minutes remaining.
Sepahan missed the chance to go top of the IPL table.
The Isfahan-based football team sits second with 42 points, one point behind Tractor Sazi.
Persepolis will move top of the table if the team defeats Sepidrood on Saturday.
If Persepolis draws with the Rash-based team or loses to it, Esteghlal will advance to the top with a win over Nassaji in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium.
