Ashkan Khorshidi to Officiate Tehran Derby
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Ashkan Khorshidi has been chosen to officiate Tehran derby between Persepolis and Esteghlal.
The 40-year-old referee will be assisted by Reza Sokhandan and Ali Mirzabeigi.
Alireza Faghani has been also appointed as Video Assistant Referee (VAR) in this match.
The 89th derby will be held on Saturday in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium.
Esteghlal leads the head to head results in competitive matches with 26 wins to Persepolis's 22, while 40 matches ended in a draw.
Tehran derby is a football match between the two prominent Tehran clubs Esteghlal (Blues) and Persepolis (Reds).
