Syrian Army Continues to Push into Militant-Held Areas in Hama
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - The Syrian Arab army has conducted intensive strikes on militant-held areas in northern Hama in response to repeated breaches of de-escalation zone agreement by terrorists.
SANA reported that the army units operating in Hama’s northern countryside carried out operation against the al-Nusra-linked terrorist groups and attacked their supply lines in the towns of al-Sahriya and al-Qaroutiya in Jabal Shashabo in northern Hama.
The report added that terrorists suffered heavy losses.
On Monday, the army units thwarted an attack by al-Nusra Front terrorists on safe areas near al-Hamamiyat.
The terrorists also suffered heavy damages and many were forced to flee due the army attack.
In recent weeks the army has managed to gain ground throughout the province’s towns and villages.
