Syrian Air Defense Systems Intercept Enemy Missiles over Damascus (+Video)
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - The Syrian Army’s air defense on Friday night intercepted enemy missiles coming from the direction of Quneitra.
A military source told SANA that the Air Defense Systems detected hostile and intercepted aerial targets coming from the direction of Quneitra toward the capital.
Several sources claimed that Israeli missiles were launched toward targets in southern Damascus.
The incident over Damascus coincide with an Israeli violation of Lebanese airspace. According to a statement by the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF), several warplanes of the Israeli Air Force (IAF) flew over the southern part of the country on a low altitude.
Earlier, SANA said that aerial defenses targeted luminous objects coming from the occupied territories, shooting down a number of them.
