Iran Beats Hong Kong at AFC U-20 Futsal Championship 2019
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran defeated Hong Kong 7-3 at the AFC U-20 Futsal Championship 2019 Group A in Pour Sharifi Stadium in Tabriz on Friday.
The 12 teams are drawn into four groups of three and Iran is in Group A with Afghanistan and Hong Kong.
Iran will face Afghanistan on Sunday.
“We played very well and of course we were well aware that the conditions in the first match will always be tough, which is natural for the first match of the tournament,” Iran coach Hamid Shandizi said in the post-match news conference.
“As I’ve mentioned before, futsal in Asia is developing and that includes Hong Kong. I applaud Hong Kong for a good game against us,” he added.
