Militant Rocket Attack on Syria’s Aleppo Kills 12 Civilians

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – At least 12 civilians were killed and several others sustained injuries after terrorists launched attacks on residential areas in Syria’s Aleppo.

Al-Nusra militants fired rockets against civilians in the areas of Hamadaniyah and Seif al-Dawalah in Aleppo, killing 12 people, including two children, SANA reported.

The attack also left several civilians injured in the two neighborhoods.

Meanwhile, units of the Syrian army responded to the attack, destroying the militants’ rocket launchers and killing and injuring many of them.

Syria has been gripped by foreign-backed militancy since March 2011. The Syrian government says the Israeli regime and its Western and regional allies are aiding Takfiri terrorist groups that are wreaking havoc in the country.
