Team Melli defeated the Philippines 95-75 in Group N.
Hamed Haddadi led Iran with 19 points and Robert Lee Jr. Bolick scored 15 points for the Philippines.
Iran secured a spot in Tokyo 2020 as the best Asian team since Nigeria defeated host China 86-73.
The 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup is the 18th tournament of the FIBA Basketball World Cup for men's national basketball teams.
