Iran Basketball Comes 23rd at FIBA World Cup
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran national basketball team finished in 23rd place in the 2019 FIBA World Cup.
Iran secured a spot at the 2020 Olympic Games on Sunday as the best Asian team.
Team Melli lost to Puerto Rico, Tunisia and Spain in Group C and defeated Angola and the Philippines in Group N.
Host China came 24th and Japan and the Philippines finished in 31st and 32nd places respectively.
The 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup is the 18th tournament of the FIBA Basketball World Cup for men's national basketball teams.
