Syrain Army Takes Control of Villages in Idlib’s Southeastern Countryside (+Video)

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Syrian army troops on Friday took control of a number of villages and farms in southeastern Idlib countryside after fierce clashes with terrorists in the region.

According to a report by Syrian Arab News Agency, the army as well as the pro-government forces cleansed villages of Um Jalal, Rabe’a, Khreibah, Sh’aret al-Ajayz, Barnan, and Um Twineh in southern Idlib countryside of militants after clashes with al-Nusra Front and the so-called Ajnad al-Kavkaz terrorist groups the region.

A number of terrorists were killed or injured and their weapons were destroyed as the result of the battle after the militant tried to move towards the army points in the direction of Rabe’a town and al-Sh’arah in southern Idlib countryside while using vehicles equipped with machineguns.

The report also indicated that the terrorists used the newly liberated areas as key points to attack safe areas in southeastern Aleppo countryside and northern Hama countryside, as they used them to launch rockets on residential neighborhoods in the aforementioned areas.
