Iran Receives Cargo of Chinese Medical Supplies
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran on Tuesday took delivery of a large consignment of medical supplies –mainly face masks– that it has purchased from China.
The cargo of Chinese masks, fever thermometers and hospital gowns purchased from China was unloaded at Tehran’s Imam Khomeini International Airport on Tuesday.
The shipment includes 20 million three-layered masks, 3 million N95 masks, 10,000 fever thermometers, and 2 million hospital gowns.
China had already presented Iran with a consignment of 20,000 coronavirus diagnostic test kits free of charge.
According to Iran’s Health Ministry, the number of people who have died from the coronavirus in the country has risen to 853 and the total number of confirmed cases to 14, 991.
At least 5,000 patients in Iran have recovered from the disease so far.
