Syria's Air Defenses Shoot Down Israeli Missiles over Damascus (+Video)
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Syria’s air defense units on Monday repelled an Israeli attack targeting the capital city of Damascus, managing to shoot down a number of missiles.
At 5:00 a.m., the army air defenses confronted an Israeli missile attack from over Lebanese airspace and shot down a number of missiles before reaching their targets, SANA reported.
The attack did cause some material damage, though there were no immediate reports about casualties from the strikes.
Israel has carried out hundreds of airstrikes in Syria, including in the Golan Heights, most of them against what the Tel Aviv regime claims to be the positions of pro-Syrian forces.
