Iran Records 2,450 New COVID-19 Cases in 24 Hours
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iranian Health Ministry spokeswoman Sima Sadat Lari said on Friday that the total number of coronavirus cases in the country has reached 322,567.
“With 156 new deaths in the past 24 hours, the death toll from the virus has reached 18,132. Unfortunately, we had 2,450 new cases since yesterday,” Lari said on state TV.
She also put the number of those who have so far recovered from the viral infection at 279,724.
The coronavirus outbreak has infected over 19.2 million people around the world. The global death toll from the pandemic is now more than 718,000.
