Syria Shoots Down Terrorist Drone near Russian Airbase in Latakia
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Syrian air defense forces managed to intercept and shoot down a militant drone near the country’s strategic Hmeimim air base in the western coastal province of Latakia.
According to SANA news agency, an anti-aircraft defense system intercepted and brought down one unmanned aerial vehicle over the coastal city of Jable near the base on Tuesday.
Back on January 19, Russian air defenses repelled a drone attack launched by unidentified militants on the Hmeimim air base.
