Iran’s Cinema Honors Late Veteran on Birthday Anniversary

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Concurrent with the birthday anniversary of late Iranian film director and screenwriter Rasool Mollagholipour, the poster of "Rasool Sign" was unveiled at Iran’s 16th Resistance International Film Festival.

According to the Secretary of "Rasool Sign" Award, Parviz Farsijani, the poster was unveiled on the sidelines of the festival to pay tribute to the veteran cinematographer whose creativity, courage and innovation are among major characteristics of his works.

Mohammad-Reza Rasouli is the designer of the poster.

Mollagholipour, whose films focused on the Iran-Iraq war (1980-1988), died of a heart attack at the age of 51 in 2007.

The International Resistance Film Festival will be held on September 21-27, coinciding with the Sacred Defense Week covering many sections including, "Health Defenders", "Main Competition", "Resistance Prominent Martyr - Special Section", "Best Film Competition in Absolute Sense" and" Narrations of Pen - Scriptwriting Competition”.
