Iranian Scientist Fakhrizadeh Awarded Medal of Victory Posthumously

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei awarded the 'Medal of Nasr (Victory)' to late Iranian scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, who was assassinated recently.

Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Hossein Baqeri visited the family of the eminent scientist on Sunday to present the medal.

The top-class Medal of Nasr has been endorsed by Ayatollah Khamenei, the commander-in-chief of the Iranian Armed Forces.

Fakhrizadeh, a senior nuclear and defense scientist, was assassinated in a small city east of Tehran on November 27.

In a message after the incident, the Leader called on all relevant administrators to “investigate this crime and firmly prosecute its perpetrators and its commanders” and “to continue the martyr’s scientific and technological efforts in all the sectors where he was active.”
