Persepolis to Wear Black Kit for Mehrdad Minavand
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Persepolis football team players will wear black kit in the match against Machine Sazi on Saturday.
Persepolis will host the Tabriz-based side in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium and the team’s players will wear black kit in remembrance of Mehrdad Minavand.
Former Persepolis midfielder Minavand died Wednesday night due to COVID-19 at the age of 45.
Machine Sazi’s players will also wear black armband in memory of the former Iran midfielder.
The teams observed a minute's silence before kick-off in memory of him in Iran Professional League (IPL) Matchweek 13 on Friday.
