Iran Claims Four More Medals in Ukraine Wrestling Event
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian wrestlers claimed four more medals in the Outstanding Ukrainian Wrestlers & Coaches Memorial on Sunday.
Greco-Roman wrestlers Alireza Nejati and Mohammad Ali Geraei won two gold medals in the 60kg and 77kg categories, respectively.
Amin Kavianinejhad won a silver medal in the 77kg after losing to his compatriot Geraei.
Greco-Roman wrestler Amin Mirzazadeh also won a bronze medal at the 120kg.
On Saturday, Iran’s Mohammad Sadegh Firouzpour won a gold medal in the final match of the freestyle 74kg.
Greco-Roman wrestler Sajad Abbaspour seized a silver in the 55kg, while Mohammad Reza Mokhtari (72kg) and Mehdi Bali (97kg) also snatched two bronze medals.
Outstanding Ukrainian Wrestlers & Coaches Memorial features nearly 600 participants from 33 different nations.
