Murderers of Basij Forces Killed in Southeast Iran
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps smashed a team of terrorists that had killed two local Basij forces recently in Iran’s southeastern province of Sistan and Balouchestan.
The IRGC Ground Force's Quds Base said in a statement that the team of terrorist was attacked and annihilated in an operation that followed intelligence activities.
The terrorists were behind the recent martyrdom of two local Basij forces in Hichan village, near Nikshahr town, it added.
Two terrorists were shot dead in the operation, which also resulted in the confiscation of ammunition and weapons, the statement noted.
Since a couple of years ago, the IRGC has been tasked with ensuring the security of southeastern border areas in cooperation with local residents.
Located in the southeast of Iran, Sistan and Balouchestan borders Pakistan and Afghanistan and has a long coastline by the Sea of Oman.
