Iran Falls Short against Serbia at FIBA Basketball World Cup
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran was defeated against Serbia on the Day 1 of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2021 on Saturday.
The Iranian team lost to powerhouse Serbia 88-67 in Group B.
Filip Skobalj scored 17 points for the Serbians while Amir Hossein Yazarloo collected 11 points for Iran.
Iran will play Latvia and Puerto Rico on Sunday and Tuesday, respectively.
The tournament is hosted in Riga and Daugavpils, Latvia from July 3 to 11.
