Iran Victorious over Syria: 2022 WCQ
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran edged past Syria 1-0 in the final stage of Asian qualifying for the 2022 FIFA World Cup on Thursday.
Team Melli captain Alireza Jahanbakhsh scored an excellent Mehdi Taremi assist in the 56th minute at the Azadi Stadium in Tehran.
Iran is scheduled to play Iraq in Doha in Group A on Tuesday.
