Poland Wins U-19 Worlds Title, Iran Finishes 3rd
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Poland shut out Bulgaria 3-0 (25-20, 25-19, 25-19) to strike gold at the 2021 FIVB Boys’ U-19 World Championship which wrapped up Thursday evening in Tehran.
A total of 18 countries showcased the future generations of volleyball stars in a 10-day competition.
It was Poland’s second gold medal in the history of the competition, after its success of 2015. It has also won two bronze medals, in 1999 and 2013.
Iran also finished in third place after beating Russia 3-2 (25-14, 22-25, 27-25, 21-25, 15-6) in the bronze medal match.
The competition was held in at Tehran’s Azadi Hall.
