COVID Hospitalizations in Iran Falling
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The number of the coronavirus patients admitted to the hospital across Iran on a daily basis has been on the decline, standing at above 3,400 on Sunday, the Health Ministry said.
New figures released by the Health Ministry indicate that the total number of people tested positive for COVID-19 in Iran has exceeded 5,129,400 following the detection of 25,870 new cases since yesterday, compared to .
Of the new cases detected in the past 24 hours, 3,430 patients have been admitted to the hospital.
At least 4,362,800 patients have recovered from the coronavirus infection so far or have been discharged from hospitals across Iran.
The ministry also put the death toll from COVID-19 in Iran at 110,674, saying the disease has taken the lives of 610 patients over the past 24 hours.
Among those undergoing treatment in medical centers at present, 7,689 coronavirus patients are in the intensive care units.
More than 29.45 million coronavirus diagnostic tests have been carried out in Iran so far and over 19.46 million people have received the first dose of coronavirus vaccine.
The number of people infected with COVID-19 across the world has surpassed 221 million and the death toll has exceeded 4.57 million.
