Iran Discovers Rivals at AFC Women’s Asian Cup India 2022
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran knew its rivals at the AFC Women’s Asian Cup India 2022 in a draw ceremony held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Thursday.
Team Melli has been drawn in Group A along eight-time winner China PR, host India and Chinese Taipei.
Australia, champion in 2010 and runner-up in the last two editions, was drawn in Group B alongside Thailand, Philippines and Indonesia.
Japan will play Korea Republic, Vietnam and Myanmar in Group C.
The AFC Women’s Asian Cup India 2022 will add further drama and excitement with the leading five teams earning direct tickets to the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup jointly hosted by Australia and New Zealand.
The next best two teams from the Playoff matches will also represent Asia at the Inter-Confederation Playoff matches.
