Syria Football Federation Sacks Nizar Mahrous
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Syria Football Federation sacked coach Nizar Mahrous following poor results in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification.
The Syrian FA announced the termination of Mahrous’s contract immediately after a 3-0 defeat against Iran.
It has confirmed in a statement that a replacement will be appointed within 48 hours.
Syria has a difficult task ahead to book a place in the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The Qasioun has just two points in Group A.
