All Occupied Lands Will Be Liberated, Says Syrian Adviser
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – No matter how long it will take, all of the territories of Syria under occupation must be reunited with the Arab Republic, a presidential adviser underlined.
In an interview with Tasnim in Damascus, Bouthaina Shaaban, the political and media adviser to the president of Syria, reaffirmed the Syrian government and army’s determination to liberate the occupied lands and cleanse them of terrorist groups.
Asked about some areas in northern Syria that are still under the control of terrorist groups, Shaaban said Damascus will, by God’s grace, push for the liberation of those areas.
“No matter how much it costs or how long it takes, the entire Syrian soil must be reunited with Syria,” she underlined.
She also said the Syrian government has managed to disclose the Western hypocrisy.
“Currently, many voices in the West are calling for the revelation of reality and are supporting the righteousness in Syria and many parts of the world, which is why today is the beginning of a new age,” Shaaban stated.
Addressing a UN Security Council meeting about Syria in October, Iran’s UN Ambassador Majid Takht Ravanchi urged that the occupation of parts of Syria by foreign forces must come to an end. “Accordingly, all occupying and uninvited foreign forces must leave that country without any precondition or further delay.”
“In this context, the Security Council must live up to its responsibility and compel the Israeli regime to end the occupation of the Syrian Golan and also stop immediately its aggressions against Syria,” the Iranian envoy said.
