Sepahan Earns Big Win over Naft Masjed Soleyman: IPL
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Sepahan football team earned a 4-1 win over 10-man Naft Masjed Soleyman in Isfahan’s Naghsh-e Jahan Stadium on Saturday.
Naft midfielder Moslem Mojadami scored an own goal in the eighth minute.
Mojadami was also shown a red card in the 22nd minute.
Shahriyar Moghanlou made it 2-0 in the 52nd minute. Sajad Shahbazzadeh scored Sepahan’s third goal in the 66th minute and Reza Mirzaei made the scoreboard 4-0 with eight minutes remaining.
Mehran Amiri pulled a goal back in the 89th minute.
In Abadan, Sanat Naft edged Tractor 1-0 thanks to Taleb Reykani’s late goal.
Mes Rafsanjan also beat struggling Shahr Khodro 3-1. Mohsen Azarbad, Mehdi Hosseini and Majid Nasiri were on target for the visiting team and Rahman Jafari scored a late goal for Shahr Khodro.
Esteghlal leads the Iran Professional League (IPL) table with 38 points, followed by Persepolis on 35 and Sepahan on 32.
