Iran Wins Asian Beach Handball Championship
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran defeated Qatar 2-1 to win the eighth Asian Men’s Beach Handball Championship.
The Iranian team defeated India 2-0 in its first match.
Team Melli also defeated the Philippines 2-0 and Vietnam 2-1.
Iran lost to Oman 2-0 in its fourth match.
The competition was held in Tehran, Iran, from March 22 to 28.
Iran and Qatar qualified for the World Championships, to be hosted in Greece next June.
