Cultural, Religious Commonalities Basis of Iran-Kyrgyzstan Ties: President
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi hailed the cultural, civilizational and religious values shared by Iran and Kyrgyzstan as a precious asset forming the foundation of their mutual relations.
In a message to his Kyrgyz counterpart Sadyr Japarov on Tuesday, Raisi offered congratulations on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Iran and Kyrgyzstan.
The cultural and civilizational commonalities as well as the common national and religious traditions are great assets that form the basis of relations between the two states, Raisi added.
He also noted that Kyrgyzstan’s declaration of independence in 1991 pushed the age-old relations between the people of the two countries, which have their roots in the rich history and culture of the region, into a new stage and brought the two nations closer together.
Highlighting Iran’s serious efforts to expand relations with Kyrgyzstan during thirty years of diplomatic ties, Raisi said the cooperation between the two states covers a broad range of issues and has resulted in the signing of around 120 cooperation agreements at various levels.
