Plans Discussed to Increase Flights between Iran, Afghanistan

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Iranian and the Taliban officials weighed plans to increase the number of flights between Iran and Afghanistan.

Senior representative of the Iranian Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, Hossein Mirshafi’e, and Minister of Civil Aviation and Transport of the Taliban Mullah Hamidullah Akhundzada met in Kabul.

In the meeting, the two officials discussed issues relating to land and air transportation and the plans to increase the number of flights between the two neighboring countries.

They also agreed on plans to promote constant cooperation in the transit by air or land between Iran and Afghanistan.

A few weeks ago, the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Transport of the Taliban had announced the resumption of flights to Iran operated by the Afghan airlines.
