Iran Sports Minister Sajjadi Comes Out of Coma

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Sports Minister Hamid Sajjadi, who was in a medically induced coma at a hospital in Tehran, came out of the coma on Sunday.

Sajjadi’s level of consciousness has improved and his healing process has progressed.

The sports minister suffered a head injury in a helicopter crash in the city of Baft, southern province of Kerman, on Thursday.

Esmail Ahmadi, an adviser to the sports minister, was killed in the crash when the helicopter was landing on a football field.

Sixteen other passengers, including 4 crew members, were also injured.
