Persepolis Earns Late Win over Tractor, Sepahan Beats Havadar: IPL
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Persepolis football team earned a late 3-2 win over Tractor in Tabriz and Sepahan beat Havadar 2-0 in Isfahan on Sunday.
In Tabriz’s Bonyan Diesel Stadium, Mohammad Omri opened the scoring for Persepolis in the 18th minute and Mehdi Torabi made it 2-0 in the 30th minute.
Mohammad Abbaszadeh, who came off the bench in the second half, pulled a goal back in the 67th minute with a header and leveled the score from the penalty spot with six minutes remaining.
Persepolis defender Vakhdat Khanonov scored the winner in the dying moments of the match.
In Isfahan, Sepahan beat Havadar 3-1, thanks to goals from Farshad Ahmadzadeh, Shahriyar Moghanlou (penalty spot) and Ygor Catatau.
Hossein Sadeghi scored a solitary goal for Havadar.
Furthermore, Mes Rafsanjan beat struggling Sanat Naft 4-0 and Paykan and Zob Ahan played out a goalless draw.
Sepahan leads the table with 46 points, one point above Persepolis.
