Shahdab Yazd Crowned Iran Volleyball League Champion
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Shahdab Yazd defeated Labaniyat Haraz Amol 3-0 (25-23, 25-20, 25-19) on Tuesday to win the title of the 2022-23 Iran Volleyball Super League for the second successive year.
Amir Ghafour led Shahdab with 19 points and Ali Hajipour earned 14 points for Haraz Amol.
The Iranian Volleyball Super League (IVSL) is a professional volleyball league in the country at the top of the Iranian volleyball league system.
It was founded in 1975 as the Pasargard Cup, but after the Iranian Islamic Revolution, it was renamed to the First Division. In 1997 the league system was revamped and the Iranian Super League was established.
Paykan Tehran has won the most titles in the new Super League with 12 titles.
Shahdab will represent Iran at the 2023 Asian Men's Club Volleyball Championship in Bahrain.
